Seth D. Levy has spent his entire career serving Jewish seniors. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, where his father, a Reform rabbi, had a pulpit. He grew up in Syracuse, NY and earned his B.S. in Human Development and his M.A. in Social Work at Syracuse University, where he also earned a Certificate in Gerontology.
His most recent tenure was a CEO/Administrator at the Campus of Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, Inc, a suburban, 20-acre site containing a skilled nursing facility and an Independent/Personal Care/Assisted Living apartments. Mr. Levy successfully planned and opened The Residence, a multimillion dollar, upscale congregate facility and, concurrently, managed an extensive renovation of the nursing home.
Before the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, Mr. Levy was Executive VP and CEO of the Blumenthal Jewish Home for the Aged and Fair Oaks Assisted Living facility in Clemons, NC. There, Mr. Levy managed an agreement with a for-profit provider in which Blumenthal relocated to Greensboro, NC under the aegis of a Foundation responsible for overseeing quality of care and provision of Jewish programs, services and activities in its new facilities. He was Executive Director of the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, where he planned and opened an independent, assisted living and skilled nursing facility and spearheaded an endowment to provide for indigent Jews. In Omaha, Mr. Levy was Assistant Executive Director at Rose Blumkin Jewish Home/Bureau for the Aging.
Seth and his wife Alice reside in St. Petersburg. Nearby are his mother, brother and his son’s family including a grandson. Two daughters live out-of-state. He enjoys walking, bicycling, the beaches, and pampering his four Pekingese dogs.
